WELCOME TO MIND AND BODY YOGA
I’m Mary and I’ve been teaching in the fitness industry for 21 years. I started working at Loughborough University in 1999 as a strength and conditioning coach training elite athletes, students and community members, designing strength and conditioning programmes. I’ve taught yoga to elite sporting groups such as England Rugby and British Swimming but in the last 12 years I’ve moved more specifically down the holistic path to teach pilates and specialise in teaching yoga.
I qualified with the British School of Yoga in 2004 and in 2008 gained a teaching diploma with the British Wheel of Yoga. My style of yoga follows the person centred approach as taught by my teacher and mentor Lina Mookerjie. More recently I’ve been specialising in pregnancy yoga and am now fully qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga after training with Judy Cameron, a midwife, trainer and fellow Yogini.
I currently teach classes in and around the Nottinghamshire area and at Loughborough University. I also teach in corporate establishments and at schools for students and teachers, run workshops, retreats abroad and offer one to one sessions in Yoga and Pilates.
