Gratitude and Grace – Slow Down The Pace. Online Yoga Workshop December 4th 2021 10am-1pm
This yoga workshop focuses on gratitude and grace by developing self-compassion and kindness through learning how to move more slowly and intuitively to release pent up tension. The session will be calibrated to restore your energy, calm your nerves, and support your immune system to nurture your body and mind as you transition from one season to another. We will slow down the pace and douse the flames of your everyday hustle with a fluid practice that blends deep and smooth movements, focusing on grace and surrender rather than effort and strength.
Moving mindfully gives a grace and an ease to your practice. Slowing the pace gives the muscles enough time to acclimate to the new action and is gentle on the joints. This peaceful practice focuses on the quality of your attention as well as the synergy of movement & breath.
We will embody the fluid power of the water element. Water is a powerful muse for grace (Anugraha) in that it elegantly makes its way around whatever gets in its way – it makes its obstacles part of its path. We will take some inspiration from the water’s fluidity by navigating life’s twists and turns with the same easy grace. We will work with heart opening asanas that help to liberate stuck energy and find our water-like essence to keep calm and flow. We will also reflect more inwardly through meditation mudra and mantra.
